Hello there! Thank you SO much for visiting my fundraising page! I am Ashley Robbins. Sometimes, I find it overwhelming describing who I am to people, but explaining WHOSE I am is a different story. So we will start there. I am first and foremost a follower of the Most High God. I eagerly and whole-heartedly seek after His will for me- which led me here! After spending last summer in South Africa, I knew in my heart that I was being called to serve in Africa once again. So, I began to pray to the Lord knowing that he would lead me to where I am needed. By His grace, I was informed about Sozo and just absolutely fell in love with everything Sozo stood for. With lots and lots of meditation and prayer, here I am- how great our God truly is! I am in so over my head, in the best way possible, and I know that I am not doing this alone, I am constantly walking with the Lord.  My heart smiles when I think about Uganda. I am so excited to love on all the children and to experince their passion and love for our Lord. Please prayerfully consider supporting me. I want you to be a part of this journey with me. This is certainly about the lives the Lord will touch while I am in Uganda, but my prayer is that He would bless and touch your heart too. As a Sozo intern my time in Uganda will be spent:

Serving & Discipling in Sozo Homes

     -serving and loving the 77 children within the 3 Sozo homes

     -cooking, cleaning, bathing, helping with homework, discipling through nightly devotions and other various tasks

     -working along side other Ugandans while having the opportunity to pour into them as they pour into us

Serving at the kids school (Kitende Modern Primary) for a weekly Field Day of approx. 300 students

Serving twice a week in a nearby village (Ngongolo Village)

     -spending time in the Word with them and praying for their needs

     -I will paired with a family in the village this summer, meeting with them once a week. I will be establishing relationships and showing my family the love of Christ

Serving in the downtown slum of Kabalagala

2014 Sozo Children Uganda Internship

Ephesians 4:1-6

"I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all."

This year we are excited to offer an incredible opportunity to a passionate group of college students. During the summer of 2014, each intern will be traveling to Uganda to serve orphan and neglected children while investing in the surrounding communities. They will each be stretched physically, spiritually, and emotionally while we explore the unique relationships found  in the body of Christ. Regardless of background or titles we hold we are ONE in Jesus Christ. 

This summer each intern will be tasked with the following responsibilites: discipling our Sozo Children, assisting the Ugandan staff at home, growing in relationship with each other, connecting believers in the surrounding communities, working alongside Ugandans in community rehabilitiation efforts, growing the local church, and facilitating Sozo Children teams.
