Hi, I'm Margaret Leatherbury and I am a junior at the University of Alabama.  I was given the oppurtunity to serve on two mission trips with Sozo Children in Kampala, Uganda in March of 2015 and December of 2015.  This December I have the opportunity to embark on a three week trip to Uganda to be reunited with the 121 children within the Sozo Organization. 

My first trip I traveled halfway across the world only knowing one person on the trip and I had no idea that my life was about to be changed and impacted by the people in Sozo.  Since I have gone, I have made wonderful friendships and memories that will last forever.  While I was there I was able to help spread the word of God to the beautiful Ugandans in the Ngongolo village and throughout the city of Kampala.  We help by leading a Kid's Club in the village where we do crafts and help lead worship.  At the four homes we do everything from peeling potatoes to doing laundry and helping the children with their homework. Thankfully, after convincing my mom, I have the oppurtunity to go back to a place that is so near and dear to my heart.  Sozo has not only helped me learn that there is much more in life than the American lifestyle but it has helped me learn what I want to major in and do for the rest of my life--work with non-profit organizations.  I've been truely blessed to find an organization like Sozo.

Whether it only be a prayer, every form of donation is welcome.  I am very excited for my next trip and cannot wait to see how much these children can impact my life even more.
