Sozo, a Greek word used in the New Testament, means “to save, to keep safe, and to rescue from harm.” This refers to both physical restoration and spiritual salvation. Over half of Uganda’s population is under the age of 15 years old as a result of war, disease, and deep poverty. Sozo Children operates multiple children’s homes with a vision to disciple and empower these children to be the next generation of Christian leaders in Uganda. During my time in Uganda, I will be serving under local leaders through community outreach, evangelism, and discipleship within the children’s homes.

The Lord has led me to Sozo Children and given me a peace and excitement about joining them. I look forward to being a part of what God is doing in the country of Uganda and in each life that He leads me to. This is requiring great faith and full reliance on the Lord to provide. The cost of the trip is $1,500 PLUS airfare can be from $1,500 - $2,500. That being said, my first goal is $2,500 due on MARCH 26^th to ensure that airfare will be covered. I know that the only way for this to be possible is through the work of the Holy Spirit. I ask that you would please be prayerful about supporting me & your role in God’s global mission.

Through short term missions, Sozo Children offers an avenue to those passionate to serve and be the hands and feet of Christ on the mission field. The teams will be traveling to Uganda to serve vulnerable children while investing in the surrounding communities. Each team member will be stretched physically, spiritually, and emotionally while we explore the unique relationships found in the body of Christ. 

Please note: A team member will be credited 97 percent of credit card payments. Three percent is decucted to cover credit card fees. Likewise, an e-check payment will be deducted $0.35 from the team members fundraising campaign for bank fees.
