If you know me, you know that God placed missions on my heart at a young age. The joy and life that comes from being in Uganda is incomparable. They aren't just people in a foreign country to me, but my family. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about them and wish that I could hop on a plane and go back. It's been almost two years since I've been in Uganda and I am so grateful that the Lord delights in giving us the desires of our heart. I can't wait to be reunited with all the Sozo children, staff, and the people of the village.
While in Uganda we will be serving within the eight children's homes in any way that we can, from moping, laundry, to even helping with cook prep. Two days out of the week we will be going out into the surrounding community to help with Kids Club! Over 400 kids attend kids club every Monday and Thursday to play, worship, hear a Bible story, and receive a snack. This is my favorite part of the week as I have been able to cultivate such deep relationships with the children and their families since Kids Club began four years ago. We will also partake in nightly devotions and be able to serve on the Sozo Children land, whether that's painting, digging, building, organizing, or cleaning. Going on this trip will allow me to continue growing relationships with the kids and staff around me.
A fun fact is that Sozo Children purchased 28 acres of land in 2015. The children just moved into their new houses this month, April 2019!
I have full faith that God will provide for this trip, he has every time before.

Who: With Sozo Children
Through short term missions, Sozo Children offers an avenue to those passionate to serve and be the hands and feet of Christ on the mission field. The teams will be traveling to Uganda to serve vulnerable children while investing in the surrounding communities. Each team member will be stretched physically, spiritually, and emotionally while we explore the unique relationships found in the body of Christ.
Please note: A team member will be credited 97 percent of credit card payments. Three percent is decucted to cover credit card fees. Likewise, an e-check payment will be deducted $0.35 from the team members fundraising campaign for bank fees.
