Hi everyone! For those of you who don't know, I am a sophomore at the University of Alabama and currently in the field of elementary education in hopes to become a teacher when I graduate. This spring break (March 13-22) I plan on traveling to the beautiful continent of Africa with Sozo Children. Sozo Children started in the year of 2010 for orphaned children to provide a Christ-based shelter for them. Since then, Sozo has grown abundantly housing dozens of orphans within the 4 Sozo homes. During this one week trip in Uganda our team will be spreading the love of God by being the hands and feet of Jesus. We will be loving on these beautiful children and people and teaching them about the love of our Father. This is such a large opportunity that the Lord has so beautifully pieced together in my life and His timing could not have been more perfectly planned. That being said, I know an opportunity like this will not be possible without financial support, any amount donated will be more than appreciated. But most importantly, I need your prayer support. While financial support is very important, your thoughts and your prayers are greatly needed during this time! I can't wait to see how the Lord is working in Uganda and uses this team to spread the good news!! Through short term missions, Sozo Children offers an avenue to those passionate to serve and be the hands and feet of Christ on the mission field. The teams will be traveling to Uganda to serve orphaned and neglected children while investing in the surrounding communities. They will each be stretched physically, spiritually, and emotionally while we explore the unique relationships found in the body of Christ.
Team members will be able to experience: doing life with our Sozo Children in all FOUR of our homes, assisting in daily chores and responsibilities at the houses, growing in relationship with each other, connecting with believers in the surrounding communities and ministering to families in a local village we work in called Ngongolo Village.
