Dear Friends and Family:

Last year, I, Emmanuel had the opportunity to serve for a week in Uganda over spring break. It opened my eyes to realize how blessed we are and how strong a bond can be when you dig into someone's life and try to help, even if only for a week. Now that my sister Simene is old enough I want her to also go through this life changing experience. We hope that God is doing as many wonderful things in your life as He is in ours. We are having a wonderful holiday season and feeling God's will to do more for the world around us.

We want to share with you a challenging ministry opportunity that God has presented to us. From March 13th through March 22ndwe have the chance to go to Uganda with SOZO children. This 9-day missions trip will be reaching out and spreading the gospel to the children of Uganda. Unlike many missions trips, this one is solely centered on building relationships with the kids, playing with them, helping them with homework, etc. 

While God has opened up a door for us to develop a greater heart of compassion for His people around the world, the exciting part is that you will be able to share in this compassion in several ways. First, you can help pray for us and others who will choose to go to Uganda. We will need prayers that God will prepare us for our visit and bless our efforts as we minister to all the children. We will also need prayers that our financial needs will be met. At this time we need to raise roughly $3,000 each to attend this trip, and that is quite a challenge.

Another way you can be involved is to help provide part of that financial support that the Lord would lead you to. We will need to raise all the funds in the near future in order to pay for airline tickets and other items. Through short term missions, Sozo Children offers an avenue to those passionate to serve and be the hands and feet of Christ on the mission field. The teams will be traveling to Uganda to serve orphaned and neglected children while investing in the surrounding communities. They will each be stretched physically, spiritually, and emotionally while we explore the unique relationships found in the body of Christ. 

Team members will be able to experience: doing life with our Sozo Children in all FOUR of our homes, assisting in daily chores and responsibilities at the houses, growing in relationship with each other, connecting with believers in the surrounding communities and ministering to families in a local village we work in called Ngongolo Village.
