"Radical obedience to Christ is not easy... It's not comfort, not health, not wealth, and not prosperity in this world. Radical obedience to Christ risks losing all these things. But in the end, such risk finds its reward in Christ. And He is more than enough for us." -Dr. David Platt

He is a good Father, and I am so thankful for how patient He has been with me throughout this season already. Through a series of emotions: doubt in myself and my qualifications and even fear of the mountain in front of me, He has remained faithful. He has comforted every doubt, silenced every fear, fulfilled every need, and answered every prayer. He has completely shifted my perspective and lifted my eyes to seek Him, only, for all things. Before, I would look at the mountain in front of me, completely intimidated on how I would climb it. I don't have to measure up my qualifications, because He is the Great I Am. When the unqualified say 'yes' to Him, we have no choice but to give Him the glory when His plans come through just through us being His instruments. I am strengthened by the authority He has given us as His children, not to painfully climb the mountains we see in front of us, but to boldly move the mountains He has placed in our paths. In Matthew 17:20 it says "I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible." N o t h i n g is impossible. I am believing in faith that He will come and move like only He can! I am ready to walk upon the waters where He has called me, just like in Matthew 14, when He called Peter to get out of the boat. So, here I am, jumping, and before I know it I will be joining 14 other interns to journey back to Kampala, Uganda, where I left pieces of my heart back in 2013 when I traveled to Uganda for the first time. I so excited about this next chapter! I confidently believe that real life change will occur when I stop just listening to His voice, but I leave in the direction where His voice is telling me to go.

I can't wait to reunite with the sweet Sozo babies, declare the truth of His word, lean on His promises, truly learn what it looks like to be His hands and feet extended, and grow like never before. I am honored and humbled that He would allow me to be a part of His great mission. I am continually thankful for His grace, that although He could accomplish all this on His own, He allows me to play a small part. He never ceases to amaze me, not only has He forgiven us, but He has given us purpose. As I continually seek His face for provision for what's ahead, leverage of resources, and strength for the journey, I graciously ask that you would join me on this journey, in whichever way you feel led to. In prayer through multiple areas: that the Gospel would come alive and saturate in the lives of people in Uganda; that chains would be broken and acceptance and freedom would be found in Jesus; that our team would be dependent on the Holy Spirit & surrounded by health and safety; and finally, that we would never lose sight of Ephesians 4:1 "Lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God." In the midst of your prayers, I graciously ask that you would consider funding my trip financially, if the Lord leads you to do so. I am confident that where He has led me, He will take care of every need. All donations are tax deductible and can be made on this page online or mailed to the Sozo Children P.O. Box Office: PO Box 382586; Birmingham, AL, 35238 with my name attached: Shae Tate. I sincerely thank you in advance for you willingness and prayers, all glory to Him, He is an amazing God! Your Kingdom come Lord, Your Will be done.

Until His Nets are Full,

Shae Tate

ABOUT Internship 2015

2015 Sozo Children Uganda Internship

Ephesians 4:1-6

"I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all."

This year we are excited to offer an incredible opportunity to a passionate group of college students. During the summer of 2015, each intern will be traveling to Uganda to serve orphan and neglected children while investing in the surrounding communities. They will each be stretched physically, spiritually, and emotionally while we explore the unique relationships found  in the body of Christ. Regardless of background or titles we hold we are ONE in Jesus Christ.

This summer each intern will be tasked with the following responsibilites: discipling our Sozo Children, assisting the Ugandan staff at home, growing in relationship with each other, connecting believers in the surrounding communities, working alongside Ugandans in community rehabilitiation efforts, growing the local church, and facilitating Sozo Children teams.
