Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all peoples. {Psalm 96:3}

In the summer of 2014 I had the amazing opportunity to visit Kampala, Uganda for a week and a half and learn what Sozo Children is all about. There's no doubt that I fell in love with everything about their organization- especially the precious children. One of the older boys and I had a conversation the afternoon before we left about why he was a little more distant from our group. He explained to me that he loved us being there and respected our hearts for the Lord but also explained to me that it is difficult to make deep relationships in just a week. I didn't want to leave. I wanted to stay forever and make those deep relationships with all the children. At that point, I immediately felt God giving me peace and assuring me that someday I would be back. Today I can proudly say that my God is faithful and true and He is sending me back to one of the most beautiful places in the world. I have been absolutely blessed with the opportunity to intern with Sozo Children this summer. I cannot contain my excitement as this jounrey begins! I ask for prayers for my team and I as we meet each other, spend an amazing summer together, and that we deeply feel the Father moving in Uganda! 2015 Sozo Children Uganda Internship

Ephesians 4:1-6

"I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all."

This year we are excited to offer an incredible opportunity to a passionate group of college students. During the summer of 2015, each intern will be traveling to Uganda to serve orphan and neglected children while investing in the surrounding communities. They will each be stretched physically, spiritually, and emotionally while we explore the unique relationships found  in the body of Christ. Regardless of background or titles we hold we are ONE in Jesus Christ. 

This summer each intern will be tasked with the following responsibilites: discipling our Sozo Children, assisting the Ugandan staff at home, growing in relationship with each other, connecting believers in the surrounding communities, working alongside Ugandans in community rehabilitiation efforts, growing the local church, and facilitating Sozo Children teams.
