Hey there! Thanks so much for visiting my fundraising page! A few months ago, I took my first three week journey to Uganda. It was easily the most extraoridinary and life-changing experince of my life. I would love for you to go to breannajdrew.wordpress.com to hear more of my stories from this journey. I am now headed back to the country that has stolen my heart. During this time, I will be serving at the Sozo Children's homes, doing everything from peeling potatos, to mopping, to doing laudry, to investing in the children. One of the greatest ways I get to invest is through nightly devotion. We get to dance, sing, and give all of our praise to the Lord; we spend an incredible time in prayer together, and we share the word of our God and our testimonies. I will also be back in the Ngongolo village to reach out to the people whom have never heard the name of Jesus before. I am so excited to reconnect with the people of Uganda and continue to deepen relationships that have already been formed.
The biggest thing that has held me back from these missions that God has called me to is fear. Often, I want to be like Jonah and run away. Though I love God and love his people, traveling so far away during my winter break from school is a bit overwhelming. Selfishly, I want to be safe in my home and here to celebrate New Years and my boyfriend's brithday. Though I feel increidlby safe in Uganda, it's hard not to give in to the people who say it's too dangerous to travel anywhere right now. But I have undeniably been called. I trust that whatever God's plan is, it is going to be the best for His kingdom. And I will go without fear.
The cost of this trip is heavy, but the provision of our God is strong! I am so grateful for any amount that you are able to give. I am so excited to lock arms with you as we change the world together!
